about Puzzlebox
Q: What is Puzzlebox Events?
A: We create and host bespoke immersive party games.
Q: I’m not sure what that means. Is this a kid’s thing? Like, something I can book for a child’s birthday?
A: It’s not children’s party entertainment. If you have a teen who loves quirky, fun, and novel experiences, they might enjoy what we offer. Our immersive games involve puzzles and activities that require strategy and critical thinking skills. Our primary audience is adults who are eager to let loose and recapture the joy we all had as kids by embracing the curiosity, collaboration, and exploration that comes with playing games together.
Q: So, you sell games? Like Monopoly or Cards Against Humanity?
A: Not exactly. Our games are different from board or card games. We use the entire room—sometimes multiple rooms—and as Gamemasters, we’re there to guide the event from start to finish.
Q: Is it like an escape room?
A: Not quite. While our games involve puzzles, they’re not as complex as escape rooms. It’s more about the overall theme and creating a shared, fun experience with friends.
Q: Is this a TTRPG like Dungeons and Dragons?
A: While some of our games have assigned “roles”, they are not D&D or any other Tabletop Role-playing Game—though we do offer that, too (see https://www.puzzleboxevents.com/tabletop-rpgs)! Our main games involve scenarios like “figure out who-dun-it,” “find the imposter,” or “engage in a battle royale on a desert island.”
Q: Oh, so it’s dinner theater?
A: Nope. There’s no acting involved. It’s more casual and interactive—you’re actively playing, not watching a performance.
Q: How do we get there? I don’t want to drive all over the place.
A: That’s the best part—we come to you! We set up in your home or office and bring everything needed to play. We handle everything from setup to announcing the winners.
Q: Okay, I’m still confused. What exactly is this?
A: Puzzlebox Events offer one-of-a-kind experiences that don’t exactly fit into any existing category. If you find something similar, let us know so we can take a break and play ourselves! Our games create memorable, “you had to be there” moments. The best way to understand it is to try it. If you’re curious, but don’t want to commit to a party just yet, feel free to attend one of our public events to get a feel for the kind of games we run.
So, what do you say? Ready to play?
